Unemployment rate dropped to 6 percent in Canada

Canada added around 154,000 jobs in November 2021 Unemployment rate fell to a new pandemic low in November 2021.  The unemployment levels in Canada shrank to six percent in the stellar month from 6.7 percent in October. As per the recent update, Canada added 154,000 more jobs in November, which led to a drop in the unemployment rate. According to the labor market survey, every province in Canada has seen employment rise in November 2021.

The employment levels were all-time high by 80.7 percent among women having 25 to 54 years after adding 66,000 more jobs.

The unemployment rate has fallen for the sixth consecutive month with 0.7 percent, recorded as the largest since March 2021. Figures show 1.24 million were unemployed in November, a decline of 8.9 percent but still nearly 100,000 higher than the pre-pandemic level in February 2020.
