The top jobs in Germany for 2020 are expected in the STEM field and health-related occupations. Top jobs will be in the engineering, mechanical, electrical and IT fields.
The top jobs that are expected to be in demand in 2020 will be for professionals in science, engineering, business, healthcare, and teaching. 25% of jobs are expected to be for high-level professionals in these fields. 17% of jobs are expected to be for technicians while 14% of jobs are expected to be open for clerical support professionals.

Medical profession: As Germany faces a shortage of medical practitioners, foreigners with a medical degree will come to the country and get a medical practice license here. But in Germany, their degree has to be equal to the medical qualification. A senior doctor in Germany can hope to earn around €116,900 a year while a specialist doctor can earn €78,000 a year.
Engineering profession: When it comes to Germany, manufacturing and software take center stage. This means more job opportunities in the engineering field and therefore better pay.
Top paid workers in this field are a patent engineer engaged in the preparation and enforcement of patent applications. In manufacturing companies, this position is of importance. A patent engineer can expect to receive 72,000 Euros annually.
Another top job in this industry is an insurance engineer who can earn about €71,000 a year. Insurance engineers are usually in demand by insurance companies to help make assessments.
Finance professions: The finance sector offers plenty of job opportunities for qualified professionals. A fund manager in Germany can hope to earn 75,800 Euros per year while a corporate finance manager can hope to earn 75,400 Euros per year.
Sales professionals: With the growth of the retail sector, foreigners have plenty of employment opportunities. There is a demand for professionals trained in retail sales and sales assistants. For these jobs, the prime qualification is to understand what the customer wants and to improve sales. Foreigners may opt for a two to a three-year apprenticeship after which they may be offered a permanent job contract.
