The Australia Corporate Immigration has transformed substantially in the recent past. This was through diverse changes made effective to the Australian immigration laws throughout the last year and early 2018.
The modifications to Australia Corporate Immigration programs were as a part of the long-term plan of the Liberal government. These were aimed at enhancing the quality and integrity of the skilled immigration programs. It is inclusive of both Provisional and Australia PR Programs. The changes are inclusive of certain latest provisions for safeguarding the priority of employees in Australia.
The Legislation Amendment for Migration - Skills Shortage Visa Temporary and Corresponding Reforms Regulations 2018 became effective on March 18, 2018. It eliminated the Subclass 457 Visa. The Australia Subclass 482 Temporary Skills Shortage was introduced in its place, as quoted by the SBS.
The Australia Subclass 482 TSS Visa helps employers to cater to skill shortages by hiring authentic skilled workers. This is when they cannot find suitably skilled workers in Australia. This facilitates the targeted utilization of immigrant workers to cater to provisional shortages of skills. It ensures that workers in Australia are prioritized.
Diverse changes to Skilled Occupations Lists have been implemented. These along with the future revisions will enormously impact the existing and future Australia Visa applications. Eliminated occupations are no longer accessible for programs sponsored by employers. These include Subclass 186 and TSS Visas. The only exception is applicability of grandfathering laws.
Constant updating and revision to the SOLs are aimed at streamlining the requirements for Australia Skilled Work Visas. This is also to cater to the economic needs of Australia and relevant shortages of skills.
