The top 10 APAC Universities have been released by the Times Higher Education. The Asia-Pacific rankings are based on the same indicators for performance as for the World University Rankings Times Higher Education 2018. Nevertheless, the methodology has been adjusted to account for the rising young universities in APAC region.

Below are the 4 key parameters for deciding the Top 10 APAC Universities:
Teaching:
It refers to the perceived prestige of universities in teaching based on yearly Academic Reputation Survey. This is inclusive of the level of commitment of the institution towards nurturing academics of the next generation. It also includes other aspects such as the number of PG Research students and others.
Research:
It refers to the role of the university in spreading ideas and new knowledge. For this, THE referred to the average instances when the published work of the university is cited by global scholars. These citations help to demonstrate the contribution of the university to the sum of human knowledge, as quoted by the Study International.
International outlook:
It refers to the appeal of the university to overseas students and faculty at the UG and PG level. This is assessed from the proportion of the total research journal publications of the university having minimum 1 overseas co-author.
Industry income:
It seeks to capture the knowledge transfer activity by evaluating the volume of research earned income of the university earned from industry. This is scaled against the number of academic staff employed by it.
