Most people these days are moving abroad seeking for jobs evidently where this is higher employment scope and benefits. At times employers also move eligible employees to another place where branch offices are located. One such place where you can find excellent opportunities and career wise every line of work you find there is worth.

Sweden is that place with the most comfortable immigration policies. The country is a home for global companies which have adopted the principle of modernization this has attracted a workforce from all corners of the world making the economy a more stable financial system.

At one point of time, a work permit would take 6-12 months to complete the entire process before issuing an applicant the golden pass-through. In addition to this another 3 weeks for the residence permit card to be issued. Considering the increase in demand for international skilled professionals, the Swedish Migration Agency has recently launched a streamlined new system which intends to improve work permit processing times for almost every certified company.

The newly launched rules are to process a first-time work application within 10 business days by certified companies. And 20 business days to process a work permit extension. Work permit applications would be supported by appropriate trade unions enabling the process to get faster. Above all the newly improved system is for all companies that hire foreign nationals.

Key synopsis of the Swedish Work and Residence Permit:

  • A duly signed Power of Attorney from the employee
  • Signed power of Attorney by a certified employer
  • Valid Passport
  • A letter stating the appointment of the application which has working terms and contract. This should comply with the Swedish working regulations
  • Five days after you filled for the application, file for the work and residence permit.
  • The work opportunity should have been advertised for at least 10 days in Sweden before it is being routed to a foreign national.
  • Application for this fast track work permit should be submitted online

The work permit will be issued for two years initially and an extension for the permit should have documents such as annual income certificate and pay slips for the last six months have to be attached. Ensure that all the documents meet the conditions of Swedish Migration Board

The fact of the matter is companies that are registered with the Fast Track Certificate enable them to fasten the work permit process. This is a golden opportunity for all the skilled professionals who intend to make Sweden their dream destiny.
