Quebec’s Latest Arrima Draw has 326 Invitations Issued

Canada's Quebec has held another round of provincial invitations. Quebec has its own immigration programs and is not a part of Express Entry or Canadian Provincial Nominee Program.

On December 9, 2021, Quebec issued a total of 326 invitations to Canada immigration hopefuls that intended to settle within Quebec after being granted permanent residence in Canada. Those invited by Quebec in the latest draw can now proceed to submitting their application for permanent selection by the province.

Provincial draws by Quebec are also referred to as Arrima draws as they are held through the Arrima Portal.

This is the 13th Arrima draw to be held in 2021. The previous Arrima draw was held on November 11, 2021.

Who were invited? Criteria
[1] Individuals meeting specific criteria With their occupation on the list of 29 eligible occupations for the draw. ·       NOC 0213:  Computer and information systems managers ·       NOC 2131: Civil engineers ·       NOC 2132: Mechanical engineers ·       NOC 2133: Electrical and electronics engineers ·       NOC 2141: Industrial and manufacturing engineers ·       NOC 2143: Mining engineers ·       NOC 2147: Computer engineers (except software engineers and designers) ·       NOC 2171: Information systems analysts and consultants ·       NOC 2172: Database analysts and data administrators ·       NOC 2173: Software engineers and designers ·       NOC 2174: Computer programmers and interactive media developers ·       NOC 2175: Web designers and developers ·       NOC 2231: Civil engineering technologists and technicians ·       NOC 2232: Mechanical engineering technologists and technicians ·       NOC 2233: Industrial engineering and manufacturing technologists and technicians ·       NOC 2241: Electrical and electronics engineering technologists and technicians ·       NOC 2281: Computer network technicians ·       NOC 2282: User support technicians ·       NOC 2283: Information systems testing technicians ·       NOC 3012: Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses ·       NOC 3233: Licensed practical nurses ·       NOC 3413: Nurse aides, orderlies and patient service associates ·       NOC 4031: Secondary school teachers ·       NOC 4032: Elementary school and kindergarten teachers ·       NOC 4214: Early childhood educators and assistants ·       NOC 5131: Producers, directors, choreographers and related occupations ·       NOC 5223: Graphic arts technicians ·       NOC 5241: Graphic designers and illustrators ·       NOC 6221: Technical sales specialists - wholesale trade Score* either equal to or above 633 points   [Human capital factors = maximum 580 points; Response to Quebec’s needs = maximum 720 points]  
[2] Individuals with a valid job offer in Quebec outside the territory of the Montreal Metropolitan Community.

*Factors assessed include, among others – knowledge of French, knowledge of French and English, age, length of professional experience, level of education, response to Quebec’s needs (field of training, Quebec diploma, length of professional experience in Quebec/rest of Canada, validated job offer). Training of the spouse or de-facto spouse is worth a maximum of 20 points.

Why do I have to go through Quebec’s Arrima Portal?

You will have to go through the Arrima portal of the Quebec government if you wish to immigrate to Quebec – temporarily or permanently – under any of the following:

[1] Quebec Experience Program

[2] Regular Skilled Worker Program (RSWP)

[3] Permanent immigration pilot programs – for orderlies, food processing workers, workers in the artificial intelligence, information technologies and visual effects sectors.

[4] International Student Program (document transmission only).
