INZ approved PTE Academic for proficiency in the English language The Immigration New Zealand (INZ) has recently approved PTE Academic for proficiency in the English language under visa categories of all types. Following this decision, the Pearson Company announced on 18 November that the recognition will be effective from 21 November. Vikas Singh, Pearson India’s Business Head and Vice President, was quoted by India Today as saying that proficiency in the English language is vital to the success of professional workers and students wanting to pursue their career in this country located in the Oceania region. According to him, it is crucial to visa aspirants to be able to prove their mettle in English in a secure environment with the state-of-the-art testing procedures. PTE Academic currently conducts its test in 24 centres located in 17 cities of India, including Mumbai, Kolkata, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Gandhinagar, etc. Pearson is said to have invested substantially in devising the necessary security measures via biometric, digital and forensic integration. PTE Academic test, lasting for three hours, includes three sections - writing and speaking, listening and reading. Taking into consideration the immigration procedure’s importance, the applicants are provided results within a week’s time.
