PEI PNP

Prince Edward Island in Canada has invited 195 immigration candidates in 2 draws held in July 2020. The July 10 draw invited 8 immigration candidates from Express Entry and Labour Impact categories to apply for a provincial nomination.

The second draw, on July 18, had 158 candidates invited. Another 29 were invited from the Business Impact category.

While the previous PEI PNP draw was held on June 23, the next scheduled draw is expected to be held on August 20, 2020.

Candidates were invited from the categories of –

Express Entry
Labour Impact
Business Impact [only in July 18 draw]

The PEI PNP has not provided a breakdown as to how many candidates were invited from the individual categories of Labour Impact and Express Entry in both the draws held this month.

Under normal circumstances, the PEI PNP follows a set pre-decided schedule for holding invitation rounds. With the COVID-19 situation, the PEI PNP has been unable to keep to the schedule. Since March, PEI has held 2 draws – on June 18 and July 16 – as per schedule.

Candidates have to submit their Expression of Interest [EOI] profile to the PEI PNP in order to be considered for the Labour Impact, Express Entry, and Business Impact categories.
