Manitoba Issues 349 LAAs in MPNP’s EOI Draw #132

Canada’s Manitoba province has held another round of invitations under the provincial route to permanent residence. Manitoba is a part of the Provincial Nominee Program of Canada.

On December 16, 2021, Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) invited a total of 349 candidates to apply for being nominated by Manitoba for Canada PR visa. Invitations issued by Manitoba PNP are also referred to as Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs).

Those invited to apply can now proceed to applying for a MPNP nomination. If successful, the Nomination Certificate can then be used to apply to the federal government of Canada for a PR visa.

The previous Manitoba PNP draw was held on December 2, 2021.

Of the almost 80 PNP immigration pathways available, many are linked with the federal Express Entry system. A nomination – under any of the Express Entry linked PNP pathways – guarantees an invitation to apply for an Express Entry candidate.

A PNP nomination is worth CRS 600 ranking points, based on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).

What is the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program?

Manitoba is among the 9 provinces and 2 territories that are a part of Canadian PNP. Manitoba PNP is officially referred to as the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). To be considered by Manitoba for a PNP nomination, you must first express an interest – through the submission of an Expression of Interest or EOI profile with Manitoba PNP – in moving to Manitoba permanently. There are three specific Manitoba immigration pathways available for anyone looking to settle within Manitoba after taking permanent residence in Canada. Skilled Workers Stream -      Skilled Workers in Manitoba, an ongoing Manitoba employment required to prove connection to Manitoba -      Skilled Workers Overseas, an established connection (previous education or work experience in Manitoba etc.) to the province needed For recent graduates, businesspeople, skilled workers and their families with the intention (as well as the ability), to settle and establish themselves in Manitoba as permanent residents. Locally driven, MPNP’s Skilled Workers Stream is based on the specific requirements of Manitoba employers. International Education Stream (IES) -      Career Employment Pathway, for post-secondary students that graduate and are able to find long-term employment in Manitoba in an in-demand occupation -      Graduate Internship Pathway, providing internships for Master’s and doctoral graduates that can contribute to industry innovation in Manitoba -      International Student Entrepreneur Pilot, up to 20 international students in a year (that have graduated in Manitoba) to be given the opportunity to take up entrepreneurship instead of employment For international students graduating in Manitoba and meeting the requirements of the local labour market in Manitoba. Business Investor Stream -      Entrepreneur Pathway, minimum net worth of CAD500,000 required -      Farm Investor Pathway (FIP), a rural economic initiative, a Farm Business Concept will be required For qualified entrepreneurs and business investors from across the world that have the intent as well as ability to purchase or start businesses in Manitoba.

Note. An international student that had graduated from any other Canadian province/territory might apply under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba pathway.

With the latest round of invitations, Manitoba PNP has issued a total of 10,562 LAAs in the 27 MPNP draws held so far in 2021.
