Manitoba invites 180 applicants in 7th November draw

In the draw held on 7th November, Manitoba invited 180 skilled workers, Express Entry candidates and international graduates to apply for a provincial nomination. The MPNP issued invitations under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Workers Overseas and International Education sub-streams.

Invitations that are issued under the Skilled Workers Overseas and Skilled Workers in Manitoba are based on an EOI score. To apply under these categories you need to first file an EOI with the MPNP. Your EOI profile is scored on the Manitoba points grid out of a total score of 1,000. Candidates with the highest scores are invited in regular draws conducted by the MPNP.

The breakup of the results of the 7th November draw are as follows:

  • Skilled Workers Overseas: 24
  • Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 133
  • International Education stream: 23

The EE candidates who have been invited in the latest draw can now apply for a provincial nomination. Successful candidates who get a provincial nomination get 600 points added to their CRS scores.

Express Entry candidates need to submit a separate EOI to MPNP to be considered. Besides that, they also need to have work experience in any one high-demand occupation in the province and meet other eligibility criteria.

23 Express Entry candidates received invitations in the 7th November draw. These candidates had a valid Express Entry ID & job-seeker validation code.

Skilled Workers Overseas:

The MPNP nominates foreign workers who have skills which are in demand in the Manitoba labour market through this stream.

Among other eligibility requirements, candidates must prove a connection to Manitoba in order to qualify. This can be close relatives in the province, previous work experience or education. Candidates can also be invited through the MPNP Strategic Recruitment Initiative.

You do not have to be in Manitoba to qualify.

The minimum score in the Skilled Workers Overseas Stream in the 7th November draw was 719.

Skilled Workers in Manitoba:

Candidates who already have a full-time, permanent offer of employment from Manitoba can apply under this stream.

The minimum score required in the 7th November draw was 560.

International Education Stream:

If you have graduated from an educational institution in Manitoba and have skills which are in-demand in Manitoba, you may apply under this stream.

So far in 2019, the MPNP has issued 6,911 invitations to eligible candidates for a provincial nomination for Canadian PR.
