Manitoba issues 157 invitations in the latest draw

Manitoba held its newest draw on 24^th October. 157 skilled workers and foreign graduates received invitations to apply for a provincial nomination.

The invitations (Letters of Advice to Apply) were issued under the following categories:

• Skilled Worker Overseas
• Skilled Worker in Manitoba
• International Education

In 2019 so far, Manitoba has issued 6,731 invitations.

The break-up of invitations issued was as follows:

• Skilled Worker Overseas: 24
• Skilled Worker in Manitoba: 117
• International Education Stream: 16

12 invitations out of the total of 157 were issued to candidates who had a valid EOI in the Express Entry Pool.

Besides meeting other requirements, Express Entry candidates should have relevant work experience in any one of the high demand occupations in Manitoba. Express Entry candidates need to submit a separate EOI with the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program.

Skilled Worker Overseas

This category nominates foreign skilled workers who have experience in high demand occupations in Manitoba. All 24 invitations issued under the Skilled Worker Overseas category were issued through the Strategic Recruitment Initiative.

Eligible candidates are scored on the Manitoba points-grid out of a total of 1,000. High-scoring candidates are then invited through regular draws from the EOI pool of the province.

The minimum cut-off score in this category was 685.

Skilled Worker in Manitoba

For this category also, applicants need to submit an EOI to the MPNP. Eligible candidates must have a full-time, permanent offer of employment from an employer in Manitoba.

The minimum cut-off score under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba is 567.

International Education System

International graduates who have graduated from educational institutions in Manitoba may apply under this category.
