The province of Manitoba conducted its latest MPNP draw on the 5th of July. The draw invited 354 skilled workers and international graduates.
The invitations issued by the MPNP (Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program) are called LAAs (Letters of Advice to Apply). In the 5th July draw, LAAs were issued under the following sub-categories:
Manitoba nominates international graduates and foreign workers for Canadian PR through the MPNP. Out of these, 91 invitations were issued to candidates from the Federal Express Entry pool, as per CIC News. Candidates who successfully get a provincial nomination get another 600 points on their CRS score.
Express Entry candidates must submit a separate EOI (Expression of Interest) to apply under the MPNP. Eligible candidates should meet the MPNP requirements. This includes having relevant work experience of at least 6 months in any occupation on the in-demand list of Manitoba.
The MPNP EOI requires candidates to fill in details regarding their age, education, work experience, connection to Manitoba etc. Based on all these details, each candidate is awarded a score based on the Manitoba points system.
Candidates who score the highest points receive LAAs through regular MPNP draws.
