IRCC holds the Largest Express Entry (PNP) draw and invited 1032 candidates

Canada held the biggest PNP draw ever on December 10, 2021, and invited 1,032 candidates to apply for permanent residence. IRCC holds the 40th Express Entry draw with a minimum cut-off score 698. The invited candidates will get 600 additional points automatically.

Biggest draw ever

In 2015, IRCC held 38 PNP-only draws, and most of the time, it invited candidates below 1000. But in 2021, IRCC held two draws inviting candidates more than 1000, i.e., one is on June 23 (1002 were invited) and on December 10 (1032 were invited).

Why IRCC is prioritizing only PNP draws?

From September, IRCC is holding only PNP draws in a row to invite foreign nationals, whereas the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is for the candidates within Canada.

The IRCC (Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada) has targeted only PNP candidates from the Express Entry pool in recent draws. The previous draw invited candidates with a cut-off score of 737, while in this draw, the cut-off score was 698 and is recorded as the third-lowest score.
