More Indians now prefer to move to Ireland

Many Indians are looking at Ireland as an option to settle in. Indians currently living in the UK are also looking at Ireland as an option. The reason for this is settling down in the country gives free access to the European Union.  Further those who acquire Irish citizenship are eligible to live and work in the UK without the need for a visa or a work permit under the ‘Common Area Travel Agreement’. The Critical Skills Employment Permit or CSEP is another kind of work permit popular among Indians. This permit is designed to attract highly skilled people to settle down in Ireland with a PR visa. This work permit is suitable for IT employees, engineers and technology professionals. Other sectors that rely on the CSEP to employ talented immigrants are medical, healthcare, finance, marketing etc.

 

Those with CSEP can join work as soon as they come to the country and their spouses can work without the need for a separate work permit. Ireland is also planning to introduce new work permits like seasonal permits to encourage more non-EEA nationals to come and work here.
