Immigration Minister Sean Fraser stated, "This is one of the streams that were first immigration processing that has been relapsed to the 12-month service standard for processing."

Other immigration processing systems like Federal high-skilled workers take a long time to process the service standards still. The Status of Family Sponsorship Applicants can be checked online. Canada has just launched a new application tracker to check immigration file status for this process.

This tracker was made available for partners, spouses, and dependent children trying for permanent residency ship during the initial launch in February.  The Dependents, spouses, and partner categories now use this tracker to watch the application status.

Sean Fraser "This new tool is made available to check the status of an application under processing for partners, spouse, and dependent children. And we are working on providing more trackers like this for other programs".
