Indian students are surging to the Overseas Universities for Masters in Artificial Intelligence – AI across the EU and US. AI is finding enhanced applications in the current times. It aims at creating machines that react and work like humans.
The number of applications from Indian students at the overseas universities for AI Masters has increased by twice or thrice in 2017, as quoted by the Economic Times. This has been revealed by officials of universities such as the University of Georgia, University of Edinburgh, University of Amsterdam, Radboud University, Polytechnic University of Catalonia, KU Leuven, and Carnegie Mellon.
AI industry is having a scarcity of talents and thus there is high demand for specialists according to the industry experts. There is a 30% increase in the numbers of students applying for AI Masters. This is in comparison with masters in MBA. More than 20-30% of the students are now applying for the AI PG courses at the overseas universities.
The industry experts have also offered the reasons for this emerging trend. They have said that professionals are becoming aware that they must from a niche field to become employable. It is AI that is witnessing the action.
AI Masters assists in making sense of data. It relates figures to business decisions. These skills will find increased demand in the future. The AI Masters students from India at the University of Amsterdam have increased thrice the numbers. The sum of all AI Masters students at this university in the current year is 279.
The University of Sheffield in the UK has witnessed 55% increase in the numbers of Indian students’ applying for its AI masters program. There was a 44% increase at the Belgium KU Leuven when compared with the previous year.
