The latest Canada Express Entry draw witnessed reduction in CRS cut-off score with 5 points. The draw held on 12th June had the Comprehensive Ranking System score of 465 offering 3,350 Canada PR Visa invitations. The minimum CRS score for the previous draw was 470, as quoted by the CIC News.
The candidates who are qualified for any of the 3 economic immigration programs of Canada are offered a score in CRS. This decides their ranking in the Express Entry pool. Scores are offered depending on the diverse factors of the profile. It includes proficiency in English or French, skilled work experience, education, and age among others.
The candidates with the highest ranking are offered an Invitation to Apply for Canada Permanent Residence Visa. This is via frequent draws held in the pool, usually once in 14 days. The Canadian rmonths or less.
So far in 2019, the numbers of PR Visa ITAs offered by IRCC has reached 38, 450. It is 6, 250 more than it had offered by this time in 2018. In this year the present ITA record with 89,800 was set.
The admissions target through the 3 economic immigration programs in Canada is higher for 2019 and 2020. This is under the Express Entry system.
The CRS minimum had reached 470 in the previous draw conducted on 29th May. This was because 4 weeks passed between the 2 succeeding all-program draws. It permitted a number of applicants with higher scores to enter profiles in the pool.
However, just 2 weeks elapsed between the latest draw and the previous draw on 29th May. This implies that lesser candidates could enter the pool in this duration. It resulted in a decline of 5 points in the CRS cut off.
Y-Axis Immigration Expert Usha Rajesh said that it is good to see that IRCC is again conducting draws once in every 14 days. If this continues, CRS minimum can further dip, added the Expert.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada opted for tie-breaker even in the latest draw. The time and date were 13:51:59 UTC on 6th June 2019. It means that all applicants having CRS core higher than 465 got PR Visa invitations. With them, those who scored 465 and entered profiles prior to the set time and date also obtained the ITAs.
