The Government of Canada has announced VAC service changes for the Americas, Asia Pacific, & Asia. The Visa Application Centers in these regions will require the applicants of Canadian Visa to schedule an appointment. This is for submission of biometrics and payment of additional fees for submissions of applications. It will be effective from 2 November 2018.
Visa Application Centers across the world are contacted by the Canadian Government. This is to offer visa application support to individuals. It also includes services for photograph collection and fingerprints, as quoted by the CIC News.
The contracts currently in place with VACs in the Americas, Asia Pacific, & Asia will expire on 1 November 2018. This will result in the elimination of walk-in-services. The additional fees for application services will also be implemented. The extra fees will vary depending on the location.
The below services will be offered as a package until 2 November by all VACs:
A few of the VACs in these regions will also be relocated. The VACs situated in Indonesia - Surabaya, and Australia – Perth will close permanently on 30 November 2018. The applicants have been asked to get in touch with their local VACs. The Canadian Government has asked them to check the websites to stay updated.
