British Columbia PNP invites 74 in latest Tech draw

Canada's British Columbia has held another round of invitations under the Provincial Nominee Program [PNP], commonly referred to as Canadian PNP.

On August 24, 2021, another 74 candidates were invited by British Columbia PNP. As this was a BC PNP Tech draw, invitations issued by BC went to candidates under any of the 29 key tech occupations.

Those invited can now proceed to submitting their application for being nominated by BC for Canadian permanent residence.

After securing a BC PNP nomination, the next part of the process would be that of applying to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada [IRCC].

A PNP nomination is worth 600 CRS points for an IRCC Express Entry candidate.

Earlier known as the BC PNP Tech draw, the same has been made permanent and renamed accordingly.

What is BC PNP Tech?

The BC PNP Tech offers a prioritized pathway for individuals in 29 tech occupations that have the intention of settling within British Columbia after acquiring permanent residence in Canada. Priority processing for candidates applying through the BC PNP Tech. As per the BC PNP, “Tech applications are prioritized during processing to meet the sector’s fast-paced demands.” For eligibility, an individual must have a valid job offer under any of the 29 occupations. The BC job offer must – ·       be for a minimum of 1 year, and ·       have at least 120 days remaining [at the time of submitting their BC PNP application].

With the latest provincial draw by British Columbia, a total of 7,639 candidates have been invited by BC PNP so far in 2021 to submit their application for a nomination.
