Canada's British Columbia province has held its latest round of invitations under the Provincial Nominee Program [PNP].

On June 8, 2021, British Columbia PNP, also referred to as the BC PNP, issued a total of 373 invitations to Canada immigration hopefuls to apply to the BC PNP for a nomination for Canada PR.

Acquiring Canadian permanent residence through the PNP is a 2-step process. Firstly, a PNP nomination must be secured by the candidate.

Then, their PNP Nomination Certificate can be used for applying – through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada [IRCC] – for permanent residence in Canada.

This is the second BC PNP round of invitations to be held in June 2021.

Earlier, British Columbia PNP invited 68 in the first Tech draw of June 2021.

Generally, BC PNP draws are held on a weekly basis.

The “minimum score” in the BC PNP draws is the Skills Immigration Registration [SIRS] score, that is, the score allotted after an evaluation of certain factors when an individual registers with the BC PNP Online.

Invitations issued went to candidates eligible under the Skills Immigration [SI] and Express Entry BC [EEBC] categories.

While the EEBC is aligned with and linked to IRCC Express Entry, the SI category of the BC PNP runs independently.
