Applicants of Turkey Visas have been asked to be cautious of fake websites while applying by the Foreign Affairs, Trade and Commerce Ministry. The Ministry said in a press release that its attention has been drawn by the Embassy of Turkey in Santo Domingo. It is that there are fake websites on the internet that are similar to the official website.
The fake websites claim to offer services for Turkey Visas or E-Visas to cheat people into buying these alleged visas. This is only to be defrauded upon payment by receiving fake E-Visas with no validity.
The Ministry said that it is aware of the fact that these fake websites hamper the work of the Embassy of Turkey. People must be careful while applying for Turkey Visas, it added. Applicants are thus advised to apply only through the official website for obtaining authentic Turkish Visas.
Travellers who are not exempted from the Entry Visas must obtain their Visas. They can alternatively schedule an appointment through the Pre-Application System at Turkish Consular offices.
Some nations may not have the Consular Offices of Turkey, as quoted by the Searchlight VC. The applicants in these nations can utilize digital scheduling of appointments with the closest recognized Consular Office of Turkey.
It is advisable to apply for Turkey Visas minimum 1 month prior to the planned travel. This is to avoid any inconveniences due to processing delays.
The Visas offered to overseas nationals do not ensure absolute entry rights for arrival at Turkey. In case if the applications are rejected, the Visa fees are not refundable.
