60,000 UK Work Visas granted to Indians last year says, Boris Johnson

60,000 UK Work Visas were granted to Indians last year informed the UK Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson. He said that Indians are offered more UK visas than rest off all other nationalities.  It accounts for almost 2/3rds of the UK Work Visas offered globally, added Johnson.

Until June 2017, 500,000 UK visas have been granted to the Indians said, Johnson. This is an increase of 8% when compared with 2016. The UK offers more visas to Indians than any other nation in the world excluding China, added Johnson.

Elaborating on the visa processing for Indians, Johnson said that almost every Indian visa application is accepted. 90% of the applications for Indians are granted. Apart from this 99% of the visa applications are processed within the UK standard of 15 working days. The highest number of UK Visa Application Centers are present in India, 17 centers said Boris Johnson.

The UK offers excellent visa service in India, said the UK Foreign Secretary, as quoted by the Times of India. It is, however, important to clarify certain misunderstandings, added Johnson. Numbers of Indians are visiting the UK than before as the number of visas approved to them has increased.

The number of Indian students arriving in the UK continues to increase elaborated Johnson. There has been an increase of 10% in the number of UK visas being approved for Indian students. The success rate of Indian students for UK visa applications is 91% added the UK Foreign Secretary. There is no limitation on the number of authentic students from India who can study in the UK, he added.
