Study in the UK

The UK has recently brought back its 2-year Post-Study Work Visa Program which has, once again, made the country popular among international students. Studying in the UK gives you ample opportunities to boost your career globally.

The UK, however, is not cheap, by any means to study abroad. These scholarships can help ease your finances while studying in the UK.

1. Chevening Scholarships:

Chevening is a distinguished fully-funded international scholarship for meritorious international students. International students enrolling in 1-year Masters programs in the UK are eligible for this scholarship.

You can apply for the scholarship through the official website between July and November.

2. Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships:

International students from low and middle-income countries of the Commonwealth may apply for this scholarship. Eligible students should be enrolled in a full-time Masters program in the UK.

Interested students may apply through the national nomination agencies by October every year.

3. Charles Wallace India Trust Scholarships:

This scholarship includes both short-term and long-term grants. These scholarships cover accommodation and living costs as well as tuition and international fares in the UK. These scholarships generally range from 2 to 3 months to up to a year.

You can apply for this scholarship through the British Council website by December.

4. Commonwealth Shared Scholarships:

These scholarships are granted to international students from poor and middle-income Commonwealth countries. Eligible students have to be enrolled in specific full-time Masters courses like Science and Technology for Development, Strengthening Health Systems and Capacity and others.

You can apply for this scholarship through the online portal of the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission by December.

5. Saltire Scholarships:

These scholarships are offered by the Government of Scotland. These scholarships are granted for studies in the fields of science, technology, creative industries and others. Around 50 scholarships worth £8,000 are granted every year to international students enrolled in a 1-year, full-time, postgraduate Masters program.

You can apply for this scholarship after you have enrolled in any one of the Universities in Scotland.

The UK offers many more scholarships than just the ones mentioned above. There are many University-specific scholarships offered by the UK as well. Noteworthy ones are the Gates Cambridge Scholarship offered by the University of Cambridge and the Rhodes scholarship offered by the University of Oxford.

There are also plenty of scholarships offered for international students enrolled in PhD and research-level studies under the EURAXESS UK scheme.
