What is the difference between Australia 189 visa and 190 visa

Australia has two types of PR visas for skilled workers. They are,

Subclass 189 – Skilled Independent Visa

Skilled workers who are not sponsored by anyone, such as an employer based in Australia, a family member who is in Australia, or a skilled worker who is not nominated by the state/territory, are issued an Australian PR visa under Subclass 180.

Subclass 190 – Skilled Nominated Visa

The Subclass 190 Visa is for the migrated skilled workers who are nominated by a state or a territory of Australia. This visa lets these sponsored skilled workers have permanent residency in Australia.
