No, you cannot get citizenship directly with an EU Blue card; however, if you convert the EU Blue card to a permanent residence, you may be eligible for citizenship. The EU Blue card is issued to highly skilled and talented third-country nationals. With an EU Blue card, individuals can reside and work in the EU state country of their choice for work and residence, leading to a pathway to permanent residence. To qualify for citizenship, an EU Blue card holder must reside in the EU country as a permanent resident.
