UK Tech sector will have 800,000 unfilled IT jobs by 2020 according to the latest Study revealed by the Computer Weekly. This is a sector in the UK that is booming positively. It currently contributes approximately 184 Billion Pounds to the economy of the UK.
The UK tech sector has grown by 14 Billion Pounds just in 2017 itself. This is a growth of 2.6 faster than the average rate of advancement of the industry. It is as per the recent report by Tech Nation, as quoted by the Study International.
Demand highly outnumbers supply in the UK Tech sector. Roughly 50% of the businesses in the UK have accepted that there is a scarcity of qualified IT graduates. This is a trend that is being witnessed in the UK for a while now.
Majority of the regions across the world are also facing shortages of IT professionals and graduates. For instance, the US is experiencing a huge difference in the numbers of Computing job vacancies and the small number of people seeking these jobs. On the other hand, the age of AI and mobile internet has sparked huge demand for IT talents in China. This is even truer for the Programming field.
