Irrespective of your industry, Overseas Job Interview will have a few common questions. As per Career Contessa below are some of the well-known questions that will come up:

Q. “Tell me about yourself."

Begin by using 3 to 5 relevant and strong adjectives that you as well as your values. Then tell the interviewer what these are and offer real examples of how you represent these adjectives.

You can definitely mention your interests or hobbies while explaining but they must be relevant to the job.

Q. "Describe a dispute /clash you’ve faced and how you handled it."

Majority of them have a story of reacting not ideally to an issue at the workplace. If you feel it is appropriate you can give anyone such example. You can also offer examples from your life not related to the workplace.

What is important is the manner in which you describe how the conflict was resolved and not just that an issue existed.

Q. “Your greatest personal achievement is?"

Select 1 or 2 maximum. It must be something that sets you apart. This could be something like conducting a charity campaign for animal shelters and having raised a good amount of funds.

Do not exaggerate the figures while quantifying an achievement is a great trick. It should be more about the details – number of people you collaborated with, the budgets, the deadline etc.

Q. “Your biggest strength/weakness is?"

Individuals often try to spin weaknesses into a positive trait as you cannot be telling a prospective employer that you have a bad lifestyle. For example, you may have the tendency for getting distracted. You can tell about this but also explain the corrective measures that you have taken.

Q. "Why do you want an alteration from your present career pathway?"

Begin by elaborating on the aspects that you got them right and then those that you did not. It could be seeking more challenging projects or responsibility, lack of advancement in career etc.

Be aware of your reasons, remain firm and do not be apologetic. You need something better and that is why you are seeking the change. Clarify that you are seeking the position because it caters to those gaps.
