The overseas Start-ups are seeking more Indian talent

The overseas Start-ups are now seeking more Indian talents from Mid-level to Senior-level positions. The overseas Indian workforce has largely been affected by stringent Visa norms. However, Start-ups in Germany, the US, and South East Asia that includes Singapore, Indonesia and UAE are increasingly hiring Indian techies. They are wooing these talents with salary hikes and professional exposure.

 

The overseas Start-ups that are recruiting Indian engineers include Delivery Hero, Go-Jek, and GrabTaxi. These are with skills in Project Management, Stack Development, and Data Science.

 

Marketing specialist in Go-Jek tech Adithya Venkatesan said that Indian engineers are a premium talent. We have hired engineers who have sound knowledge in languages in programming like Golang, Ruby, and Clojure. The process takes a minimum of 3 weeks said Venkatesan.

 

The young firms in the US are open to hiring even freshers notwithstanding stringent Visa policies. Some of these Start-ups are planning their offices in India for global expansion. Meanwhile, many other firms are recruiting Indians for overseas offices as well, as quoted by the Business Insider.

 

The average hikes in pay offered by the firms for experienced positions are around 15% to 20%. Skillenza the Indian firm that tracks recruitment cycles these overseas Start-ups are seeking to expand their teams after closing a series of B or C rounds. This is to ensure that they have adequate bandwidth to seek beyond their markets for talent. They are seeking individuals with 3 to 10 years of experience, it added.
