Australia will have the highest numbers of 121, 700 jobs every year in the professional occupations. This has been revealed by the study held by National Centre For Vocational Education Research. The report by NCVER has also found that Healthcare workers, Accountants, and Teachers will account for most of the professional occupations by 2024.
The report has been titled ‘Future Jobs for New Entrants by Occupation and Industry’. It offers forecasts for jobs by industry and occupation for fresh entrants to the labor market of Australia. The total number of job positions between 2017 and 2014 will be 516, 600 annually or 4.1 million totally, as quoted by the SBS.
The second highest jobs will be for Managers with 71, 300 annually with 570, 600 totally. The highest rate of expansion in employment amongst the professionals will be for Company Secretaries, Auditors, and Accountants at 2.9% annually. This is mostly owing to the growth of industries in Australia that has demand for these occupations.
The NCVER report also forecasts strong growth in demand for Nursing professionals and Midwifery at 2.5% annually. Social assistance and Residential care will receive a boost specifically due to the expenditure of the government for implementing the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
Other jobs are also anticipated to witness enhanced demand owing to the implementation of NDIS and the aging population of Australia. These include Welfare and Health Workers with 2.3% annually, Child Caregivers at 2.6% annually and Assistants and Personal Caregivers at 2.4% annually.
The rolling out of National Broadband Network will also generate demand for workers. This will imply that Telecommunications and ICT workers will continue to expand strongly with 2.2% annually.
