According to a survey by Robert Half, the global recruitment consultancy, the sectors most affected by the pandemic are the construction, retail industry, hotels, and restaurants. On the bright side, sectors such as government utilities, businesses involved in IT services, and the FMCG sector have increased their hiring numbers. There is a demand for skilled professionals such as software engineers, finance managers, cyber security experts, financial planning analysts, etc.
Employers are also searching for superior skills and expertise tailored to fuel digital transformation in companies that want to make progress.
According to the human resources consultancies Black and Grey and Future Tense, there will be job opportunities in digital product development and e-commerce.
While revealing the list of the ten most in-demand jobs for 2022 in Dubai, these HR consultancies believed that digital product development would be among the most highly paid jobs where salaries could go up to Dh40,000 per month.

Recruitment firms based in the UAE believe hiring in sectors such as entertainment, hospitality, logistics, tourism, retail, and property contributes to the economy has picked up in 2021.
Besides that, recruitment firms here believe that global start-ups dedicated to digital transformation, augmented reality, and e-learning are looking to establish a base in Dubai and are asking job seekers to develop the skills required to succeed in these fields. They also said that freelancers would be in demand as the gig economy continues.

According to Robert Half, the FMCG sector, which is required to sustain the economy, will hire new staff. The e-commerce sector consisting of start-ups and established firms will also pick up by making new deals, investments, and acquisitions.
"Business leaders are primarily hiring for roles which support financial recovery, digital transformation, and human resources," Robert Half said.
The recruitment firm says that sectors such as pharmaceuticals, utilities, the FMCG, and the government will be looking out for people with high soft skills.
People will be hired for the famous roles of executive assistants, finance managers, human resources (HR) officers, and financial analysts.
There will also be a demand for digital professionals who will play a role in the digital transformation of businesses. As for roles in demand in the technology sector, cyber security and data analytics positions will be in the market.
Though the pandemic has affected the UAE job market, the country's job outlook is positive as things are changing for the better.
