A World-class South Africa E-Visa regime is a high priority said President Cyril Ramaphosa in his State of the Nation Address. We also aim to enhance destination marketing and initiatives to upgrade our tourism safety, he added. These will together result in the environment for growth that we envision, said the President of South Africa. Jobs and opportunities will then follow, he explained.
The President of South Africa said that the Government is pleased over the restoring of certainty in policy for the Visa regime. We are focusing our programs, policies and attention on the labour intensive crucial areas of the economy said Ramaphosa. These include Ocean Economy, Tourism, and Agriculture, he added, as quoted by the Biz-Community.
Cyril Ramaphosa said that we have made focused efforts to market South Africa as a top destination for travellers. These have given positive outcomes with crucial yearly growth in the numbers of overseas tourists, he said. 10 million overseas travellers arrived at South Africa in 2018, he informed.
Our aim is to enhance these numbers to 21 million by the year 2030 said the President of South Africa. The focus will be on fastest and largest markets with growth in China and India said Cyril Ramaphosa. We will also focus on the strong markets in Africa. The partnership between business and government will be strengthened for realising this vision, he elaborated.
