US reaches cap for FY22 H-1B petitions, starts accepting applications for FY23

The Congress of the US mandated the cap for the fiscal year of 2022. It will start accepting applications for 2023. The US federal agency said that it had reached the cap on the H-1B visas for the fiscal year of 2022. The notification came one day before the USCIS or US Citizenship and Immigration Services started acceptance of applications for H-1B visas for 2023. The application for H-1B visa for FY2023 starts from March 1 to March 18, 2022. The fiscal year starts of 2023 starts from October 1, 2022.

The federal agency of the US confirmed that the processing of applications that were submitted before the cap would continue as before.
