Ukraine will now issue e-Visa to 52 countries

The Foreign Affairs Ministry of Ukraine has announced that it will extend its e-Visa facility to 52 countries. The e-visa service will be available from 1st January 2019. The announcement was made on Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) official website.

To apply for an e-Visa the applicant needs to first register on MFA’s web-portal. The applicants should then complete an online application form. They will also need to upload the supporting documents as per the checklist of the requested visa type. The cost of the e-Visa is $85 and can be made online with a MasterCard or Visa card.

E-Visa applications would be processed within 9 working days.

The outcome of the Visa will be emailed to the applicant on his registered email address. The Visa grant or refusal will be mailed in the PDF format. Normally, e-Visas as issued as single-entry visas with a validity of 30 days.

Applicants will need to submit a printed copy of their e-Visa to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine when entering the country. They will also need to submit their other travel documents.

With the introduction of the e-Visa service, Ukraine will no longer issue Visas to foreign nationals at its international airports, as per UNIAN.
