UK Immigration health surcharge details

• The surcharge is scheduled to rise as implemented by the UK government and will take effect from January 16, 2024, or 21 days after the Parliament gives permission.
• The primary cost of the surcharge will increase from £624 to £1,035 per annum.
• For students or candidates who are less than eighteen (18) the cost will increase from £470 to £776.
• An advance payment is required when applying for entrance or residency in the United Kingdom.
• There will be no charge for the applications which were submitted before the execution of this change.
• Global business mobility and skilled worker visa applications can be submitted up to three months ahead of the candidate’s intended start date.

Details of UK visa fee that was increased in October

• The Sunak government also raised the cost of visas in October for international workers, students, and tourists.
• The cost of a visit visa increased by £15 for stays shorter than six months, totaling £115.
• Student visa cost has been increased by £127 for applicants from outside the UK, making up to a total fee of £490.
