UAE jobs that will be in demand in 2018 have been revealed and it is predicted that more professionals with specialist skills will be hired next year. This is even as firms execute large-scale projects that include the launching of the new system for tax.
Anti-money laundering specialists, Tax managers, Executive assistants, and Credit controllers are some of the UAE jobs that will be in demand in 2018. This has been revealed by Robert Half the recruitment specialists amongst the other hiring trends for the next year.
Robert Half UAE Associate Director Gareth El Mettouri said that diversification form dependence on oil sector and digital transformation are the key propellants for trends in hiring. These along with the new regime of VAT have accentuated the significance of hiring right candidates, added Robert.
Candidates who possess 5 to 10 years of industry experience will be in most demand, said the Director. The most valuable skill will be the experience in GCC, he added. More staff will be needed to fill roles in IT department. This will be accentuated as firms join the bandwagon for digital transformation.
Professionals who have the ability to manage large-scale projects will be highly desirable. Also, those with knowledge of business functions, logical and analytical skills will be in huge demand for UAE jobs. There has been an increase in the number of entrepreneurs launching digital retail businesses. This has further increased the demand for those who have specialist tech skills, as quoted by the Gulf News.
Aspirants seeking to pursue a career in the financial services sector will also have ample opportunities. M&A Associates, Anti-money laundering specialists, and Compliance officers will be in huge demand in this sector. This sector is witnessing a transforming change, said Robert Half. Almost 80% of the banks intend to execute blockchain projects before the year-end, added Robert.
