South Korea has offered 10-year Special Visas to India along with 10 other nations. These include Vietnam, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Pakistan, Nepal, Myanmar, Laos, Indonesia, Cambodia, and Bangladesh. The Special Visas are Multiple Entry Visas.
The C-3 Special Visas are being offered from 3 December 2018. This was announced in a press release by the Korea Tourism Organization.
The immigrants who possess the C-3 Special Visas can remain in South Korea for maximum 90 days. This is within the validity period of the visa for a maximum of 10 years. The numbers of visits are not restricted.
The Ministry of Justice in South Korea has said that specific immigrant groups pose minimal risks of violation of immigration laws. This includes illegal stay or obtaining jobs without valid Work Visas. The latest policy aims to enhance economic and cultural exchanges. It also intends to increase the tourist flow to the nation, added the Ministry.
Specific immigrant professionals will be qualified for the Special Visas. These include Professors, Lawyers, and Doctors and graduates enrolled in 4 year + programs in Universities in South Korea. Those who possess Master’s or higher degree from overseas will also qualify for the visas, as quoted by the E VN Express.
The Press release also said that C-3 Visas with up to 5 years validity will also be offered. This is for PR holders in 3 big cities of Vietnam – Da Nang, HCMC, and Hanoi. These visa holders will be permitted to stay in South Korea for 30 days. There will be again no curbs on the number of visits within the validity periods.
