South Australia has changed the status of these occupations

South Australia has made changes to the status of some occupations for state sponsorship. These changes are applicable to both the Subclass 489 (Provisional) and Subclass 190 Visa.

Applicants aspiring for an Australia Visa should make note of these changes.

Below is the latest status of the occupations:

• 232412- Illustrator--Low Availability -Competent English

Offshore candidates can apply for the Subclass 489 visa only- VETASSESS

• 232414- Web Designer--Special Cond. Apply- Competent English

Offshore candidates can apply for the Subclass 489 visa only -VETASSESS

• 311111 -Agricultural Technician--Special Conditions Apply- Competent+ English (or overall Proficient)

Subclass 489 visa only -VETASSESS

• 311213 -Medical Laboratory Technician--Low Availability –Competent+ English (or overall Proficient)

 Offshore candidates can apply for the Subclass 489 visa only -AIMS

• 311413 -Life Science Technician--Low Availability –Competent+ English (or overall Proficient)- VETASSESS
• 225499- Technical Sales Representatives nec--Low Availability –Competent+ English (or overall Proficient)

Offshore candidates can apply for the Subclass 489 visa only- VETASSESS

• 232111 -Architect-- Low Availability-Competent+ English (or overall Proficient)

 3 years' work experience in the field- AACA

• 224113 –Statistician--Special Conditions Apply- Proficient English (or overall Proficient Plus)

• 232414 -Web Designer-- Less Availability- Competent English

Offshore candidates can apply for the Subclass 489 visa only- VETASSESS

• 312312 -Electrical Engg. Technician--Special Conditions Apply- Competent+ English (or overall Proficient)

Offshore candidates can apply for the Subclass 489 visa only- TRA 

You cannot apply for state sponsorship under an occupation where “Special Conditions Apply”. You may only do so if you meet the special requirements.

Effective 1^st July 2019, if you are scoring 80 points or above, you may apply for an occupation where “Special Conditions Apply”. You may also do the same for an occupation on the Supplementary List, as per Immigration SA.

It is also very important to note that occupations which are under the status Available/Low Available may close at any point in time.
