An agreement for Visa MOU has been reached between Saudi Arabia and South Korea. This was decided in a Cabinet meeting chaired by the Saudi Kingdom King Salman. The meeting discussed a wide range of international and domestic developments.
The top agenda for the Cabinet meeting was the escalating strife between Hamas and Israel along the Gaza border. It also discussed the regular infringement of Palestine by the Israeli settlers at the West Bank. The Saudi Cabinet has demanded the intervention of the UN Security Council.
The outcome of his talks with Mike Pompeo the US Secretary of State was also conveyed by King Salman to the Cabinet Ministers. The talks covered several regional issues, said the King.
Turki bin Abdullah Al-Shabanah the Minister of Media declared that the Shoura Council decision and Foreign Affairs Ministry proposals were reviewed. It was thus decided to go ahead with the Visa MOU with South Korea. The Memorandum of Understanding pertains to offering Visit Visas said the Media Minister.
The Cabinet meeting also endorsed the amendment of the air agreement for usual air transport. This is between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia, as quoted by the Arab News. The Vision 2030 framework as well as for 2020 National Transformation Program was also discussed by the Cabinet. It reiterates the goals for leading international renewable energy developments in the next 10 years. This also aims at creating projects like the Dumat Al-Jandal wind-powered plant. It is under the Renewable Energy Initiative by King Salman.
The Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Minister’s announcement was also discussed by the Cabinet said Al-Shabanah. This is regarding the Gas and Oil reserves of Saudi Arabia. It highlights the significance of the Kingdom as a safe source of long term oil supplies, he added.
