Saskatchewan in Canada sent out 576 invitations in the latest invitation round held on 27th February. The SINP issued invitations under the Express Entry and Occupations In-demand categories.

For the SINP to consider you for an invitation, you must first create an Expression of Interest with the SINP. The SINP invites candidates who have the highest potential for economic success in the province. If you are interested in a provincial nomination through the SINP, you must prove that you are capable of successfully settling down in Saskatchewan.

The SINP scores you out of 100 points on the following factors:

  • Age
  • Education
  • Work experience
  • Language skills
  • Connection to Saskatchewan

Candidates scoring the most points get an invitation to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian Permanent Residence.

The minimum cut-off score for the Express Entry and Occupations In-demand categories was 69 points in the 27th February draw.

You do not need to have a job offer to receive an invitation from the SINP. However, you must have at least one year of work experience in an in-demand occupation that is related to your field of study.

Express Entry sub-category

Saskatchewan sent out 301 invitations under the Express Entry sub-category in the 27th February draw.

Invited Express Entry candidates had filed a separate EOI with the SINP and had scored 69 points or more. These candidates now can apply for a provincial nomination to the SINP for an opportunity to obtain Canada PR. Getting a provincial nomination will increase their CRS score by 600 points.

Occupations In-demand sub-category

Those who do not have an active profile in the Express Entry Pool may apply under the Occupations In-demand sub-category.

The 27th February draw issued 275 invitations under the Occupations In-demand sub-category.
