Saskatchewan Invites 104 in the First SINP Round of Invitations in 2022

Canada's Saskatchewan has held another round of invitations – the first to be held by the province this year – under the provincial route to Canadian permanent residence.

On January 12, 2022, Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) invited a total of 104 skilled workers to apply for a nomination by the province.

Occupations In-Demand candidates invited had Educational Credential Assessments. Not all occupations were selected. 6 Occupations chosen and eligible, as per the National Occupational Classification (NOC) code: ·       NOC 3211 – Medical laboratory technologists ·       NOC 3234 – Paramedical occupations ·       NOC 4151 – Psychologists ·       NOC 3216 – Medical sonographers ·       NOC 3143 – Occupational therapists ·       NOC 3215 – Medical radiation technologists
ISW: Express Entry EOI 68 37
Express Entry candidates invited had Educational Credential Assessments. Not all occupations were selected. 6 Occupations chosen and eligible (same as for Occupations In-Demand) – NOC 3211, NOC 3234, NOC 4151, NOC 3216, NOC 3143, NOC 3215.

Note. EOI: Expression of Interest. A score of at least 60 will be needed on the SINP score assessment grid to be able to apply. Factors assessed – education and training, skilled work experience, language ability, age etc.

Saskatchewan is among the 9 provinces and 2 territories in Canada that are a part of the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), commonly referred to as Canadian PNP.

Saskatchewan immigration program categories available – (1) International Skilled Worker (ISW), (2) Worker with Saskatchewan Work Experience, (3) Entrepreneur, and (4) Farm Owner and Operator.

Invitations to apply issued by the SINP, in the provincial draws held from time to time, go out to candidates under the Occupations In-Demand and Saskatchewan Express Entry streams that come under the ISW category.

The SINP’s ISW category is for skilled workers living overseas that want to live and work in Saskatchewan as permanent residents.

Three separate sub-categories are available that international skilled workers might apply under. The specific requirements of the sub-category must be met by the individual to be eligible.

What are the Saskatchewan PNP’s International Skilled Worker (ISW) streams available?
ISW streams Details
ISW: Employment Offer For those with a job offer for a skilled occupation in Saskatchewan.
ISW: Occupations In-Demand For those who don’t have a job offer in Saskatchewan, but are highly-skilled in an in-demand occupation.
ISW: Saskatchewan Express Entry For those who don’t have job offer in Saskatchewan, but have a valid profile in the Express Entry system of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). A PNP nomination is worth 600 CRS points for an IRCC Express Entry candidate. Here, by CRS is implied the ranking score given based on the Comprehensive Ranking System.

Those eligible under the Occupations In-Demand or Saskatchewan Express Entry pathways will have to submit an EOI profile as the first part of the process.
