The Immigration Department of Quebec witnessed a technical hitch on 1 April 2018 in Mon Projet Quebec their online portal. Due to this technical snag, users could submit applications for a closed immigration program – Skilled Worker Quebec.
The Quebec province has declared that the applications that have been received will be deemed to be invalid. The applications will be returned with reimbursed payment wherever applicable, as quoted by the Canadim.
QSW is one amongst the most renowned Immigration Programs of Quebec. The reason is that it does not mandate the applicants to be residing in the province for applying. It implies that skilled overseas workers can apply for the program so long as they fulfill the criteria.
One of the issues with QSW is that it accepts applications only during specified periods of intake. This implies that it is closed for fresh applications for most of the time. It opens only intermittently to accept a specified quota of applications.
Owing to a technical hitch, the QSW program accepted fresh applications on 1 April 2018 though the program was closed. The Ministry for Immigration, Diversity, and Inclusion said that the applications received on this date will be canceled. The received payments will also be refunded, added MIDI.
