Highlights of PEI-PNP draw held on July 21, 2022

• Prince Edward Island, popularly known as Garden of the Gulf invited 165 candidates. 
• Among these 165 invitations, 138 were from Labor and Express Entry Invitations, and the remaining 27 belong to Business Work Permit Entrepreneur Invitations.
• Candidates having a minimum score of 60 points were invited in this draw
• In 2022, the province planned to hold one draw every month and followed it exactly in the 7^th

What is the PEI-PNP Express Entry Category?

The PEI-PNP Express Entry Category is an enhanced PNP linked to the federal government’s Express Entry system. Candidates have to register their profile in the Express Entry System to get considered for this stream.

Express Entry System

It is an immigration application manager who manages three immigration programs:

• Federal Skilled Worker Program
• Federal Skilled Trades Program
• Canadian Experience Class

Eligibility in PEI -PNP

Eligible candidates should get a minimum score which is calculated based on the factors like

• Age
• Work Experience
• Education
• Language Proficiency In English or French.

To get eligible for PEI-PNP, the candidates also need to register Expression of Interest (EOI).

Under provincial nomination, candidates can receive an additional 600 points toward their CRS score, which guarantees an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence.

Labor Impact Category

The Labor Impact Category is for the foreign nationals who have a valid job offer in PEI and receive support from their employer is eligible for this stream. It is further divided into the following streams

• Skilled Worker
• Critical Worker
• International Graduate

Applicants for this category should also register Expression of Interest to get considered for a provincial nomination under the Labor Impact Category.

Business Impact Category

Business Impact Category candidates who meet the minimum requirements in order to proceed with their applications. But remember that the score is different in every draw. The invitations issued in today's draw were included under Work Permit Stream. This is for foreign entrepreneurs who wish to operate a business on this island.
