Ontario issues 997 ITAs to EE candidates in August 15 draw

Ontario latest draw was held on August 15, 2019. 

The draw was held under the Human Capital Priorities Stream as per the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).  

The requirement of Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) was within the score bracket of 439 to 465.  

All immigrants that are provincially nominated get 600 additional points in their total CRS score. Hence, a provincial nomination can greatly increase the possibility of the provincially nominated candidate getting an invitation for applying for Canada PR in the later draws from the Express Entry (EE) pool.  

Ontario PNP, in its latest draw, specifically targets the EE candidates that hold work experience in the financial and managerial sectors. Those that stand to benefit from the latest Ontario PNP draw include, among others, professions such as – registered nurses, accountants, and public relations managers.  

The 997 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) issued were for the below-mentioned professions –

1111	Financial auditors and accountants
1114	Other financial officers
1122	Professional occupations in business management consulting
0124	Advertising, marketing and public relations managers
3012	Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses
0601	Corporate sales managers
0621	Retail and wholesale trade managers
0651	Managers in customer and personal services.

 

Seeking to fill the gaps in its labor market, the Province of Ontario is doing its utmost to facilitate a mutually beneficial connection between job vacancies on one hand and skilled immigrants on the other.  

A job offer is not needed to be eligible under the OINP’s Human Capital Priorities Stream.  

In order to qualify for a provincial nomination for Canada PR, a candidate must meet both the federal as well as the provincial eligibility criteria in place for the Human Capital Priorities Stream.
