RDA Orana is an RCB – Regional Certifying Body for the Orana region situated in New South Wales. It offers skilled immigration services as a part of the overarching development strategy and workforce planning for this region.
Being an RCB, it evaluates the appropriateness of applications for catering to gaps in the current labour market. It then recommends these applications to the NSW Department of Industry or Department of Home Affairs. This implies that it plays a role in evaluating the eligibility for the following Australia Visas:
• Skilled Regional Subclass 489 Provisional Visa: It evaluates the eligibility of the applicants for State sponsorship
• Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme Subclass 187 Visa: It is a Visa sponsored by the employer and has regional concessions. RDA Orana evaluates whether the nominated worker is catering to the skills needed by the region. It also assesses if their employment terms will be on par with Australian workers.
