The latest Nova Scotia Nominee Program [NS NP] draw held on October 22, 2020, invited candidates from the Labour Market Priorities Stream of the NS NP. Immigration candidates invited can now proceed to applying for a provincial nomination through Nova Scotia.
The total number of invitations issued has not been disclosed.
The previous Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities draw was held on September 24, 2020.
The Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities stream is aligned with the federal Express Entry system of Canada. Draws held by the NS NP under the stream are for the selection of immigration candidates in the Express Entry pool meeting the requirements and demands of the labour market in the province.
Only those Express Entry candidates can apply through the Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities stream that have received a Letter of Interest [LOI] from the Nova Scotia Office of Immigration for the same.
In order to be eligible for receiving an LOI by the NS NP, the candidate must fulfil certain criteria.

Copies of language tests and proof of education will be required. For education completed outside Canada, an Educational Credential Assessment [ECA] from a designated organization will be required.
A provincial nomination gets 600 additional points towards the Comprehensive Ranking System [CRS] score of that Express Entry candidate. Hence, a nomination through the Provincial Nominee Program [PNP] is a guarantee of being issued an invitation to apply for Canada PR in the next federal Express Entry draw.
