Effective November 17, 2023, Denmark has implemented new regulations in order to allow foreign nationals to work short time without requiring a residence and work permit.
The new regulations state that in order to be eligible the candidates should be employed by a foreign company which is connected to a Danish established business. The Danish company must employ a minimum of 50 people. This new rule is limited to employment in intermediate/high or management level knowledge.
It is to be noted that a visitor visa is still required for citizens of countries where a visa requirement is mandatory. Those who hold a work permit which is restricted to a specific job but are looking to work as a teacher at another school or company will be required to apply for a permit In order to be eligible for side work.
The Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration revealed in September of this year that they would use the income data information from the Confederation of Danish Employers to assess whether a position aligns with the salary set by the Danish standards when processing applications for work and residence permits.
