The newest Express Entry draw conducted on 6th March 2019 has offered 3,350 Canada PR Visa ITAs to applicants in the pool. The least Comprehensive Ranking System score for this draw was 454.
The Canadian Government has so far offered 17, 850 ITAs in 2019 through its Express Entry system. This is an increase of 6, 350 in comparison with the 11, 500 ITAs offered in 2018 by this time.
Immigrant applicants are first required to fulfil the eligibility criteria for any 1 of the 3 economic immigration streams in Express Entry. They are then entered into a pool and awarded a CRS score. It is based on diverse factors including work experience, education, age and proficiency in French or English.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada offers ITAs for Canada PR to a fixed number of candidates. This is through the regular Express Entry draws, as quoted by the CIC News.
The CRS cut off score in the latest draw was 454. It is 3 points lesser than the CRS minimum for the previous draw held on 20 February. The cut-off score increased to 457 due to a gap of 3 weeks between the successive draws. The decline in the newest draw to 454 is because of just 2 weeks gaps between the draws.
The lesser gap between 2 draws implies reduced time for the Express Entry pool to replenish with candidates having high scores. This results in decreasing the CRS minimum score.
The policy of tie-break was applied even in the 6th March draw by IRCC. The time and date stamp were 17:21:27 UTC on 11 February 2019. This implies that all those applicants who had CRS scores above 454 received the ITAs. In addition, those who entered the pool earlier than the marked time and date with scores 454 also obtained the ITAs.
