New Brunswick adds 9 new occupations to the in-demand list

New Brunswick adds 9 new occupations taking the number of occupations on the in-demand list to 19. The new priority occupation list will be used for the EE Labour Market Stream.

The EE Labour Market Stream of New Brunswick targets skilled workers mainly in the ICT domain.

The updated priority list is as below:

0631 Restaurant and Food Service Managers
1112 Financial and Investments Analysts
1121 Human Resource Professionals
1222 Executive Assistants
1225 Purchasing agents and officers
1241 Administrative assistants
1311 Accounting technicians and bookkeepers
2171 Information System Analysts and Consultants
2281 Computer Network Technician
2173 Software Engineers and Designers
2172 Database Analysts and Administrators
2174 Computer Programmers and Interactive Media Developers
4214 Early childhood educators and assistants
5125 Translators, terminologists and interpreters
6211 Retail sale supervisor
6222 Retail and wholesale buyers
6322 Cooks

New Brunswick’s EE LMS allows the province to invite candidates from the Express Entry Pool to apply for a provincial nomination.

It is mandatory for eligible candidates to have relevant work experience in any one of the 19 priority occupations.

Eligible candidates should also meet one of the below requirements defined by the NBPNP:

  1. Have a job offer from NB or should be currently employed in NB. The candidate should have a job offer or should be working in occupation under the NOC 0, A or B category.
  2. Have a parent, sister, brother, grandparent, aunt, uncle or child residing in New Brunswick. The NB resident should be above 18 years of age and should have been a PR or citizen of Canada for at least a year.
  3. Provide evidence of French language proficiency by appearing for the TEF exam.

To apply for a provincial nomination to New Brunswick, you would need to submit an online EOI. NBPNP will only consider candidates who meet the criteria of the FSWP and score 67 points.

Eligible candidates should also meet the requirements of the New Brunswick Express Entry Labour Market Stream, as per CIC News.
