Manitoba PNP Draw Nov 1 Canada's Manitoba province has held another round of provincial invitations, sending out Letters of Advice to Apply for a nomination for Canadian permanent residence. On November 1, 2021, Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) issued a total of 421 invitations to candidates under three separate immigration pathways of the MPNP. Manitoba is a part of Canadian PNP. Invitations by the MPNP are also known as Letters of Advice to Apply or LAAs. Of the 421 invitations in the latest MPNP draw, 75 LAAs went to candidates that had “declared a valid Express Entry ID and job seeker validation code”. Here, by Express Entry ID is implied the ID allotted after successfully registering under the Express Entry system of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). The previous draw by Manitoba was held on November 1, 2021.
An Overview of the November 1 Manitoba PNP draw
Expression of Interest (EOI) Draw #129 Total LAAs issued: 421 Express Entry candidates invited: 75
Category Number of invitations issued Minimum EOI score required
Skilled Workers Overseas   38 Considered only if – ·         Directly invited under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative ·         Had an IRCC Express Entry ID and job seeker validation code. 713
Skilled Workers in Manitoba 350 460
International Education Stream 33 No EOI score required.
An Expression of Interest is the first step towards taking up permanent residence in Manitoba through the MPNP. Those interested in an MPNP nomination for Canada PR – either as a Skilled Worker Overseas or Skilled Worker in Manitoba – will have answer a few questions about themselves ensuring that they meet the minimum criteria. A score, referred to as the EOI score, will be allotted to the candidate following an assessment. Canada immigration hopefuls that submit an EOI are then placed into a pool of candidates. The highest-scoring candidates – that is, those with the most potential of succeeding in Manitoba – are invited to apply in the MPNP draws held from time to time. An Express Entry candidate nominated through the MPNP is automatically allotted 600 CRS points towards their ranking score. CRS stands for the Comprehensive Ranking System, a 1,200-point matrix that ranks candidates in the IRCC pool. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RELATED Canada Skilled Immigration Points Calculator – Check your eligibility --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Each of the MPNP candidates can have only one active EOI at any given point in time. An EOI is valid for one year from the date of submission. Do keep in mind that making changes to your profile in between will not extend the validity of the submission. While there is no limit on the total EOIs that can be submitted to the MPNP, invitations sent out by Manitoba PNP will be in view of the annual allocation of nomination spaces by IRCC. There is no list of occupations eligible to submit an EOI to the MPNP.
For 2021, Manitoba PNP has received 5,400 base nomination spaces and 875 Express Entry spaces. With the latest round of invitations, Manitoba PNP has issued 9,347 in the 24 draws held so far this year.
