In the latest Expression of Interest [EOI] Draw #91 held on June 4, Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program [MPNP] has invited 124 to apply for a provincial nomination for Canada PR. Of the Letters of Advice to Apply [LAAs] issued, 9 went to those that had declared a valid Express Entry ID along with a job seeker validation code.

The previous MPNP draw was held on May 21.

With the latest draw, a total of 2,154 LAAs have been issued by the MPNP in 2020 so far.

Invitations issued in the latest draw went out to immigration candidates that were eligible for 3 immigration streams under the MPNP – Skilled Workers Overseas, Skilled Workers in Manitoba, and International Education Stream.

Being provincially nominated through Canada’s Provincial Nominee Program [PNP] is considered to be a fast-tracked route to Canada immigration.

A nomination by a province or territory that is part of the PNP fetches an additional 600 points that are added to the overall Comprehensive Ranking System [CRS] score of the candidate’s profile while in the federal Express Entry pool.

With a 600-point boost, the profile of the candidate makes its way towards the top of the pool, thereby effectively guaranteeing that the candidate would receive an Invitation to Apply [ITA] in the subsequent draws to be held.

Securing a provincial nomination is the recommended course of action for anyone that has a low CRS score.

To be invited by the MPNP through either the Skilled Workers Overseas or Skilled Workers in Manitoba categories, the candidates would have to register an online profile – an Expression of Interest [EOI] – with the MPNP.

A score out of 1,000 is allotted once the EOI has been successfully submitted. This is what is implied by the EOI score of the candidate.

The International Education Stream is for Manitoba graduates that possess certain skills that are in high demand in the province of Manitoba.

EOI Draw #91 - Date of Draw – June 4, 2020
Category Letters of Advice to Apply [LAAs] sent Ranking score of lowest-ranked candidate invited
Skilled Workers Overseas 21 Directly invited under Strategic Recruitment Initiative. 703
Skilled Workers in Manitoba 84 523
International Education Stream 19 No minimum EOI score provided.

As of now, the MPNP has not received its nomination allocation for 2020.
